This policy explains what personal information SLTPL may collect, why it is used, how it is protected, and how players, teams, officials, media contacts, and website visitors can contact us about their information.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the SLTPL website, public league pages, player and team registration features, website content administration, and related communications managed by Sri Lanka Tennis Premier League.

Separate notices may apply to ticketing, payments, broadcast partners, sponsors, or third-party platforms where those services are operated by another organization.

2. Information We May Collect

Depending on how you use SLTPL services, we may collect:

  • Contact details such as name, address, email address, telephone number, WhatsApp number, country, city, and organization.
  • Player details such as date of birth, gender, nationality, playing category, playing hand, game style, career highlight, SLTA registration number, NIC or passport number where required, team, profile information, eligibility details, statistics, photographs, parent or guardian consent, and registration notes.
  • Team and official details such as team name, logo, management contacts, and authorized account access.
  • Website account details for authorized users, including email address, role, login status, and activity needed to protect the system.
  • Messages sent through contact forms, media enquiries, sponsorship enquiries, or support requests.
  • Technical data such as device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, approximate location from network data, cookies, and server logs.

3. How We Use Information

SLTPL uses information to operate the league and website, including to:

  • Process player registrations, team records, eligibility checks, and official league administration.
  • Publish approved player, team, fixture, score, news, photo, and video content.
  • Manage content admin access, auction-related workflows, account security, and system support.
  • Respond to enquiries from players, teams, officials, sponsors, media, and fans.
  • Send official updates where you have requested them or where they relate to your league participation.
  • Maintain website reliability, prevent misuse, troubleshoot errors, and improve user experience.

4. When We Share Information

We may share relevant information with authorized SLTPL staff, team owners or managers, event officials, service providers, technology hosting providers, professional advisers, sponsors, media partners, or regulators where needed for legitimate league operations, legal compliance, safety, or official event coverage.

We do not sell personal information. Publicly approved player, team, news, score, photo, and video content may be visible on the SLTPL website and social media channels.

5. Photos, Videos, and Public Event Coverage

SLTPL events may be photographed, filmed, streamed, or reported for news, promotion, archives, sponsor visibility, and public communication. If you submit media or take part in official events, your name, image, team, performance data, and related content may be published by SLTPL.

If you believe a photo, video, or profile should be corrected or removed, contact us with enough detail to identify the content. SLTPL will review the request in line with event needs, legal obligations, and participant rights.

6. Storage, Security, and Retention

SLTPL uses technical and organizational measures to protect information, including restricted admin access, password protection, secure hosting, and durable storage for uploaded media. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, so authorized users must keep credentials confidential and report suspected misuse promptly.

We keep information only for as long as needed for league administration, historical records, legal obligations, dispute handling, security, and public archives, unless a shorter retention period is required by law or an approved request.

7. Your Choices and Requests

Subject to applicable law and league requirements, you may contact SLTPL to request access to your information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion where appropriate, withdrawal of optional consent, or more information about how your data is used.

Some information may need to be retained for official records, event integrity, legal compliance, safety, or dispute resolution. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding to a request.

8. Junior Players

Where junior players participate, SLTPL expects registrations, media approvals, and related communications to be completed or authorized by a parent, legal guardian, coach, school, club, or other responsible adult as required by the applicable league rules.
